Waiorau Homestead was a delightful retreat with its elegant decor, cozy atmosphere, and lush grounds. Ann and Blyth were exceptionally welcoming hosts, providing us with delicious multi-course dinners and a breakfast spread that included fresh fruits and homemade pastries.

The stunning views and beautiful setting truly impressed us. However, the bathroom is located across a busy hallway, which was inconvenient.

Missing en-suite was an inconvenience, located across a busy hallway which detracted from the experience a bit. the Mountain/Garden view rooms looked much better with that feature.

I had a fantastic stay – the home-cooked breakfasts were spectacular, especially that amazing omelet, and the grounds were so beautiful, though I wish there was a fridge in the room.

This place was a proper fit for a short visit in Cardrona and offered good value for the price. The hosts were really friendly and even did a load of laundry for us, which was amazing! Make sure to ask about the dinner options. they come highly recommended.
